Kinder Camp Program
Kinder Camp is for campers ages 4 and 5 (2022 & 2021). Kinder campers start the day with an arts n' crafts activity to ease them into camp. In the morning, they join in camp-wide hill time where they sing camp songs and play tag. For programming, they participate in kinder yoga, have dance parties, enjoy story times, and make friends during kinder buddies with our LITs. In the afternoon, they will join the other groups to swim at the beach or play at the park!
We accept campers who are turning 4 this year, and no camper younger than this. All campers are required to be potty trained. Kinder Camp is led by a Group Leader and counsellors! The games and activities will depend on the theme of the week!
Intermediate and Senior Group Programs
​The intermediate group is for campers ages 6, 7, and 8 (2020, 2019, & 2018).
The senior group is for campers ages 9, 10, and 11 (2017, 2016, & 2015)
After starting the day an craft or physical activity, campers rush to hill time where they sing camp songs and play tag. Both inters and seniors have separate age-appropriate programming that corresponds to our weekly themes, however the still have to opportunity to join with other ages during our rotations! For rotations, they can choose from arts (crafts and music), sports (dodgeball, tennis, and much more), and a variety of circle games or trivia. In the afternoon campers get to swim at the beach or play at the park!
Leaders in Training (LIT) Program
This summer, Winnipeg Beach Day Camp will be offering a 7-week leadership program for people ages 12 and 13 (2014 & 2013). This program is constructed to provide leadership opportunities to young people that will allow them to develop into counsellors and great leaders in their communities. The Leaders in Training program will aim towards shaping good leaders while having fun! Each week at camp will have a different leadership focus, such as How to Plan a Program. The leaders will also have opportunities to shadow counsellors, group leaders, and the director.
