Director's Letter
Dear Winnipeg Beach Day Camp Parents...

Hello! My name is Jacqui Cohen and I am very excited to spend my third summer at Winnipeg Beach Day Camp as the Day Camp Director again this year! I have been a camper at B’nai Brith Camp Kenora since the age of seven and had the incredible opportunity of working four years on staff. During my time as a staff member, I had various roles, including day camp and residential counselor, canoeing instructor and section head. I have a love for all things camp and I am thrilled to bring my previous camp experience to Winnipeg Beach Day Camp this summer! I am 23 years old and I am studying Education at the University of Winnipeg.

From my previous camp experience, I have worked with campers as young as 3 and as old as 14. I am certified in advanced wilderness first aid, mental health first aid, bronze cross, CPR C, standard first aid, and as National Lifeguard.

I enjoy spending my summers at camp because of the value camp brings to campers, staff, and their families. I believe camp is an amazing place to foster growth and I love observing the progression from day 1 to day 5 or from the first week to the last week.

Summers at camp are always a beautiful opportunity to get away from school and the city to make new friendships, learn new skills, and grow inner confidence. This summer will be packed with arts and crafts, fun days on the beach, and amazing field trips. Every day your child will embark on a new and exciting adventure. This summer I plan to bring new activities as well as sports and arts ‘n crafts!

I am excited to meet you and hope to see you soon at Winnipeg Beach!

Jacqui Cohen

Winnipeg Beach Day Camp Director 2019-2021

We anticipate this summer to be a wonderful experience for all campers!  Looking forward to seeing you at the beach.

Sincerely,

The Board of WBDC
